The acronym IELTS stands for the English Language test, which is required for studying, migrating, and working in English-speaking countries. The IELTS exam is recognized by nearly all Australian, British, Canadian, and Irish academic institutions, as well as more than 1800 US universities. It is the sole English language test for immigration to Australia and also for entry into the UK and Canada.
The IELTS examination is a standardized test taken by individuals who are not native English speakers and wish to pursue studies in an English-speaking environment. It evaluates proficiency in the English language with two distinct types of tests: Academic and General Training.
The Academic version is typically required for academic purposes, while the General Training assessment is often used for migration or employment opportunities.
The evaluation measures language skills across Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking components using a rating scale from 1 to 9.
The IELTS examination comprises four sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Each section is graded in bands individually as well as for the overall test.

A pattern for scoring the Listening test is used, and a conversion table is created to convert scores from 40 to the IELTS 9-band scale for each version of the listening test.
Each correct answer in the 40-item test receives a mark. It's crucial to maintain good spelling and grammar when writing answers on the answer sheet.
Scores are awarded on Score Bands of 9, and then an average is calculated to determine the final score.
Two entities, the British Council and IDP Australia, are responsible for IELTS administration. You have the flexibility to select either organization for your test.
Regardless of which one you choose, both offer the same exam modules at a standard price of 31500 NPR. To register, you will need to provide a photocopy of your current passport.
It's important to note that registration closes approximately 15 days prior to the exam date.
Please note that the above mentioned price is for a Paper-based test. For a computer delivered test, the price is set at 28800 NPR.
